ADIDAS X GUCCI

THIS WAS FUN !

I was invited to the private party celebrating the collaboration between Gucci and Adidas.

I had a 100 iso film already in my Minolta Maxxum 5, so I immediately got to finishing that roll so I could grab some color.

if I see Nadine Kanso, I photograph Nadine Kanso. It’s rule of law.

After I was done with the black and white film - I decided to switch to my expired kodak gold 200 film.

When you arrive they also hand over a disposable film cameras to anyone who wanted it. I chose not to initially grab one ( why should I ? I have an epic SLR where I can decide what I want ) but I challenged myself and decided to try it out. The results are pretty gorgeous !

What do you think ? Which results do you like best for this type of atmospheric photography ? The black and white roll, the SLR controlled expired kodak film or the point and shoot disposable kodak camera ?

I was commissioned to photograph the collaboration spaces. Here’s the gorgeous one at The Mall of The Emirates.

Even though I never need to, I photograph things for fun for myself. Just to remember the products I refuse to buy but want so badly. I never edit these photos, so if some seem dark it’s because it’s really just for me :)

SUPER special thanks to Chris and Stephanie for hanging out with me late night at Dubai Mall Level Shoes and helping me make sure everything goes smoothly.

Since you have made it all the way down here, here’s your gorgeous reward - the photos of the MVP that showed up to the party.

Usually I’m working at events like these, so it was such a lovely change of pace to be a guest, be photographed and get my groove on to the brilliant 70s jams.

As always, so much thanks to the Gucci team for being simply epic. Eric, Nurgul, Chris, Stephanie and Maya are support systems without which I would not be able to make such lovely images.
